Splints
Splints
Our splints are custom-crafted using advanced digital technology to manage bruxism, TMD, and occlusal issues. They ensure a precise fit for maximum comfort and protection, reducing wear and pain while enhancing overall oral health.
Michigan Splint
The Michigan splint (also known as a Michigan occlusal splint or Michigan bite splint) is a type of occlusal guard used in dentistry to manage bruxism (teeth grinding), temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and other occlusal issues. It is typically a hard, acrylic appliance that covers the maxillary (upper) teeth and provides a smooth, even surface for the mandibular (lower) teeth to glide against.
Farrar Splint
The Farrar Splint is an orthodontic or dental appliance used primarily in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) therapy. It is designed to reposition the lower jaw (mandible) forward, which helps alleviate symptoms associated with TMJ disorders (TMD), such as pain, clicking, or restricted jaw movement.
NTI Splint
An NTI splint (Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition splint) is a small, custom-fitted dental appliance designed to help with bruxism (teeth grinding) and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. It works by covering only the front teeth, preventing the back teeth from coming into contact, which reduces jaw clenching and muscle tension.
Pro-Form® Niteguards
Pro-Form® Niteguards are specialised thermoplastic laminates designed for fabricating custom nightguards to protect against bruxism (teeth grinding). Manufactured by Keystone Industries, these laminates feature a soft/soft layered construction that enhances abrasion resistance, making them more durable against grinding compared to traditional soft sheet materials.
